is roughly in the middle of the plot and is about 12″/30 cm each way, with the middle about 8″/ 20 cm square.
Last autumn I planted a few crocuses Blue Pearl of which just three appeared and only one flowered.
I’ve tried growing various plants in it over the years but never been really happy with most, if not all, of them.
One day during the week plot neighbour Fran had dug up some unwanted plants and said to help myself if I wanted any. I took one and as you can see have planted it in the stone feature. The small clump has six pruned stems less than 12″/30 cm high, but the only thing is that she doesn’t know what it is except that it has green leaves and small white flowers during the summer. Hopefully I’ll then be able to identify it.
I’ll see how it does through this year before deciding if it’s worth keeping or if I should try something else.

Flighty's plot 
That’s a really attractive stone feature. Did you put it there or did it come with the plot? My neighbours have a similar one and put new bedding plants in each spring! Hope that your “clump” takes, l think it will look good! Have a good week, mostly cloudy but not cold l believe. xx

Andy I’m glad you like it. It was hidden and partly buried in the communal gardens where I live so I liberated it when I took the plot on. That’s a good idea but I’m not keen on bedding plants. Thanks, so do I. You too, that suits me as long as it stays dry. xx

I love the stone feature as well. And a mystery plant, exciting, I do like a mystery plant. I’m debating whether to sow more orange sweet peas at the moment. I have some other colours, but I bought some Prince of Orange and hardly any have germinated. Might be worth putting some more in. Have a lovely Sunday, it is wall-to-wall sunshine here today. CJ xx

Surprises to come. You may have got a fruit bush. Your Crocuses are sweet. Don’t they increase in number by themselves each year? We’ve seen clumps of Snowdrops and Crocuses appearing. Signs of Daffodils are yet to come. xxx

It’s worth taking a chance, both on the plant, not knowing what it is, and trying it in the stone feature. I wonder why plants don’t usually do well there, you’ll have to see how this one does.
