a lovely six year old rescue golden cocker spaniel who’s a regular visitor to the horticultural society trading shed on Sunday mornings.
I’m now his new best friend, which isn’t really surprising, as he knows that I’ll give him a Rich Tea biscuit, or two, even without having to give me one of his appealing looks.
Have a good week!
He’s lovely and your friend for life!

Spaniels are my favourite dogs. I loved the puppet Sweep as a child, it was the floppy ears that did it. He is a very cute dog. Hope you’ve had some lovely warm sunshine this weekend.

I have been “working” on the wife now for 3 months to get a dog, i would love a springer spaniel but we have 3 cats 2 chickens and a rabbit already, i even have my 2 daughters on board now maybe if we all just keep nagging she will give in?
she is looking over my shoulder as i type and is not impressed! (but loves the dog)

Stacy we’ve always been a cat family but I’ve always liked dogs as well. With all that lot I can understand your wife’s view so good luck on persuading her to change her mind.

Daffy Nikki’s comment really confused me seeing as how she’s a cat lady. Anyway she had a cocker spaniel a long time ago. xx

Awww Stanley! You just want to pick him up and cuddle him. He reminds me of my daughter’s late cocker spaniel, Katy, although Katy was black. This daughter of mine is poor as a church mouse I swear, because she has to constantly replenish her supply of dog treats. Whenever she stops by my house, all the dogs in the neighborhood miraculously appear in their front yards and start barking until she walks around dispensing largesse! My own two dogs actually get to share my digestives when I have my morning cup of tea! So I guess the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, or whatever that expression is!
