I generally buy myself a non-fiction book for Christmas.
This year it’s The Bedside Book Of The Garden by Dr. D.G.Hessayon. On the back cover it says...Gardening is about planning and planting and pottering, but it is also about sitting back occasionally and just looking and imagining…
I shall enjoy sitting down to read it with the obligatory cup of tea and a couple of the Royal Edinburgh All Butter Shortbread Assortment that I’ve been given.
Happy Christmas reading!
Ooh I’ve been thinking about buying that! Do let us know what you think of it won’t you?
Have a wonderful Christmas!

Sinta I like cosy, especially at this time of year.
It’s been dull here for a few days, but looks like being sunny but cold at the weekend.
Have an enjoyable, and relaxing, time! xx

What a great book! I checked the link and there are some preview pages to look at which gave me an idea what it is like. It looks so interesting and I bet you’ll thoroughly enjoy reading it. It’s so nice to be able to read something of interest and just enjoy the read, without having to do anything else about it! ~ except of course for the tea and biscuits 🙂
Cosy and quiet sounds good!

Mmm, how lovely and cozy, a book with tea and shortbread 🙂
I mean, not that you’d *eat* the book of course, though you can either devour it or savour it as food for the brain!
Merry Christmas, Mr Flighty! xx

Flighty, tea and shortbread and a good book. Sounds very snug. At first I read your comment as “planning, and planting, and poverty.” Maybe that’s because I was thinking about the purchases we will make for our yard clean up next week. Hope you enjoy yourself. The “imagining” and “planning” of gardening is a most enjoyable aspect 🙂
