I feel as I do given the seemingly unremitting damp and dull weather, and I’m really not in the mood to even do a blog post.
So here are a couple of hopefully uplifting pictures from the archives.
Pot Marigolds Flighty’s Favourites from September 2015.

Cosmos from September 2021.

Have a good week, and take care!
It does seem like a long, dreary winter, doesn’t it? The pot marigolds and cosmos you post are what we can look forward to.

It isn’t inspiring is it? But a good opportunity to relive the Summer days through our photos.

Such glorious photos.
We were talking about the latest Jet-stream playtime with us, yesterday. I cannot remember a February quite like this one, nor an end of January either. Apparently when this weather pattern is buffered towards the Nordic countries away from us, it is met by a ‘wall’ of resistance and bounced back in our direction. It leaves some zones very dry indeed, but we have, presumably, like you, grey skies and wet.wet and yet more wet: not to mention poor light and continuous low temperatures.
So Mike, you me and an awful lot of people are feeling much the same. The forward weather forecast is suggesting some respite soon, short though it may be. To be on the cautious side, I shall check another forecaster.
How is the rose tree faring outside your building? Anything happening on your windowsill yet?
