Yesterday morning…

rounded off a good week on the plot when I tidied up along part of the flower patch edges. There is already new growth appearing on several plants like the sedums.

The crocuses Romance are showing so I carefully weeded round and through them then, after I took this photo, scattered some compost over them for protection over the next couple of months.

My plot neighbour Fran kindly gave me some raspberries along with this white primrose.

It’s slightly different to the ones in the long planter as the yellow centre is much paler and smaller.  I’ve bought it home for the windowsill, where I hope it will continue to flower through the winter.

Take care, and have a good week!

At first glance I thought the sedum were Brussels sprouts! It must be mild for your crocus to be poking through the soil. Enjoy the primrose Fran gave you and I know the raspberries are already gone!

  2. Sounds like you’ve made good progress on the plot to bed it down for winter, a spell of dry weather is just what’s needed to get things done. Love the photo of the sedum, looks a lovely healthy plant. Enjoy your primrose, I hope it blooms long into winter for you. Karen 🙂

I was hoping we’d be able to give the grass one last cut at some point this week but it just about dries out enough and then we get another downpour. Perhaps it will have to wait now until next year. It will be nice to have a cheery primrose on your windowsill where it can be enjoyed through the winter months.

Managed a cut last week, which will be the last. Don’t remember cutting so late in the year. Love that little primrose, it will look cheery on your windowsill over window. Your plot is looking so good, ready for winter’s arrival. Wish my garden looked as good. Hopefully a bit of sunshine this coming week will help me finish weeding and edging. Have a good week.x

My goodness, the plant kings will definitely require protective TLC now to ensure their happy blooming chances.

Your windowsill will look pretty with the Primroses. It will be nice if the flowering continues over the winter. Xxxx

How lovely to see the crocuses, they look really advanced already. Good to see the sedums as well. I have been enjoying the camellia buds here. CJ xx

I do hope you don’t get a frost! The crocus are early but look pretty robust. That is a sweet little primrose. xxx

Crocuses already? Those sedums amaze me — they don’t waste any time multiplying.
