It’s been another…

chilly, wet and windy week so I’ve done little more than look round the plot then come home.  I’m pleased to see that the crocuses Blue Pearl in the stone feature have flowered.

The white and yellow ones are still hanging on despite the weather but are now past their best and starting to topple.   I’m surprised that they’ve done as well as they have this year.

The daffodils Tete-a-tete certainly catch the eye, and some of the other taller varieties are already starting to show flower buds.

Have a good weekend!

The blue crocuses look lovely in the stone planter, a really pretty feature. We are going from rain and heavy grey skies to blue sunny skies in the space of ten minutes at the moment here, and everything is absolutely sodden. I am not holding out much hope for the dahlias I failed to lift at the end of the season. My fault for being lazy. I can usually get away with it, but I fear this year they will have rotted. CJ xx

CJ I’m well pleased. I’m not surprised as it was much the same here yesterday. I hope that your dahlias are okay, be a shame if you have lost them. xx

Your crocuses are such a pretty variety. They’ve done well, along with the tete-a-tetes, to stand up to this weather we’re having. We’re still being battered here, I think the taller daffodils are doing the right thing staying in bud, I don’t hold out much hope for them if they decide to flower.

  4. The crocus look lovely, as do the tete-a-tete.
Although the weather has not been good, these lovely flowers certainly bring a Spring feeling.

    Enjoy the weekend ahead.

    All the best Jan

The bad weather will pass… For now, at least there are some lovely flowers for you to see …
Enjoy, take care, thanks and same to you!

  6. Oh, those Blue Pearl crocuses look good and strong. Is this their first year in situ?

  7. Liz says:

The blue pearl crocus are so pretty in the planter and the tete-a-tete add a little sunshine to dreary days.

Hallo Flighty, long-time-no-see! How goes the inundation now? your crocuses were beautiful. Have you any Hellebores?

    • Flighty says:

Gertie hello, and welcome. Better, at least there’s no standing water now. Thanks, I’m glad you like them. Sadly not, I really don’t have the space for them. Take care. xx

The crocus shine out in that lovely stone feature. Love the daffs too. Let’s hope the rain and wind go
