This month has started off…

damp and dull, and yesterday it was also very windy for a few hours, so I’ve been mostly plot pondering thinking about next year.

The flowers have mostly done really well this year but as I mentioned recently I missed not having lots of pot marigolds Flighty’s favourites.

It should be a different story next year as I’m planning on making up for that and I’ve saved plenty of seeds, as well buying a packet of Playtime Mix (picture from Chiltern Seeds with thanks).

I recently received the Chiltern Seeds Preview 2020 Grow something new from seed catalogue , and look forward to receiving the full one towards the end of December.  I’ll be looking through that for any new to me varieties among the flowers that I’ll be growing.

Have a good week!

What a pretty mix of Marigolds. Do they really come up looking so perfect? It is the type of flower that either makes things look cheery or, cheers you up by dancing its own jig. xxx

I look forward to hearing your final selection for next year, it’s always fun trying some new things amongst the tried and tested ones.

One of the pleasures of winter – deciding what to grow next year. CJ xx

Ah yes, seed catalogues. Everything looks so tempting, it’s hard not to order more than we can possibly grow!
Then, there is the pleasure of getting immersed in books in wintertime without having to feel guilty about weeding and deadheading, etc.

  5. Planning the next year is the best way of enjoying November! Xx

Happy thinking and planning for next year’s Pot Marigolds growing. Your plot would certainly look most lovely and inviting with them all in bloom!
    Thanks and same to you!
