of the onions Sturon on Friday and I’m well pleased with them this year considering that until a month or so ago I was thinking that they weren’t looking too good. The picture below left shows the largest and smallest ( about golf ball size) and an inbetween one. They’re on an 8″/ 20 cm plate to give an indication of size.
The picture on the right shows the underside of three of similar shape, size and weight (all 300 grams) which I hope to enter in the forthcoming horticultural society show.
I dead-headed the rose Pretty Lady towards the end of June since when it has continued to flower, and hopefully will keep blooming for another couple of months.
I find that the nasturtiums do better when it’s not so warm, and I like these red ones with the glowing yellow centres which are now flowering again.
This coming week looks like good plotting weather so I’ll be lifting the rest of the second early potatoes Charlotte.
Have a good week!
