Now that it’s cooler,…

but still dry, I’m glad to be plotting again.  Yesterday I picked and ate the last sweet corn Lark cob, which have done really well this year.

The climbing beans have really taken off in the past couple of weeks with plenty of runner beans Red Rum and French climbing beans Sultana being picked every few days.

I’ve started forking over the area where I grew the potatoes to find the ones I didn’t lift the first time round, and as expected I’m coming across a fair few.

There’s still plenty of colour with the California Poppies,  cosmos and sunflowers all of which have been flowering profusely over the past couple of months.

The charming candytuft is still flowering.

Have a good weekend!

There’s always stray potatoes which are left behind after the main harvest, a little bonus. Still lots of colour on your plot, very welcome at this time of year when many plants start winding down.

So nice to have those colorful late summer flowers. If I give a little encouragement, the roses here have one last hurrah in October before petering out.

Your runner beans look classically beautiful. Some lovely colours in your photos. It certainly is harvest time. Your plot has come up agricultural trumps!

Haha, those cheeky little potatoes 🙂 We only picked our first batch of sweetcorn last night and lifted the squash too. We are going on holiday for a few days next week so though it best to get them lifted before anyone pilfered any! Had some Crown Prince squash tonight – delicious! I know all your veggies will be lovely too and those flowers are a welcome sight to the eye. Big hugs C x
