A snowy Sunday

It’s been snowing, and settling, here since before 8 o’clock this morning, and shows no sign of stopping nearly six hours later.

I had a quick look round the plot before going on to the horticultural society trading shed where I was officially on duty today.

This was the view from the allotment gates looking along the road, and below is the plot.

Not surprisingly there was just a handful of people at the trading shed.Β  All we did apart from chat, drink tea and eat biscuits was to put up the Christmas decorations and lights ready for the party next Sunday morning.

Have a good week!

I always think snowfall is lovely to wake up to but I would like it to stop now, please! The Narnia effect wears off quite quickly for me, especially as I need to get out today to do my weekly shop! Your allotments do look lovely and clean though – I especially like the dusting of snow on the sedums! Sounds like you had quite an enjoyable morning at the trading shed as well. Enjoy the rest of the snow, take care on the ice, and hope you have a good week! xx

Caro I’m the same, but really can do without it. It was good to see the allotments like that. I was going to take a photo of the sedums but the batteries had run down. It certainly was quiet at the trading shed. Thanks, and you too. xx

There is such a feeling of peace and tranquility around the first layer of fallen snow before the white turns to brown and mush.
Drinking tea, eating biscuits, and putting up Christmas decorations sounds festive!

Scenic. The fir tree is just in the right place at the right time. xxx

I love looking at snow but not going out in it. It was forecast here but we’ve only really had sleet so far.

The allotments are pretty in the snow aren’t they. I saw my old site earlier today, looking lovely, even though we’ve only had a very light dusting here in the southwest. Have a good week Flighty. CJ xx

It looks pretty but it’s an awful nuisance when you want to get out and get on.

Goodness, what pristine snow! I love seeing it undisturbed like that, and then being the first to leave footprints.xxx
