Tree Following December 2015

Neither Liz or I are doing specific Tree Following posts this month so this is just a general one to see the year out.  Some people are still following one and their posts can be read via here.

We’ve both enjoyed following our respective trees through the year and are now looking for a new one to follow next year.  Liz has mentioned a couple that sound interesting whilst I’m looking at one, or maybe two, that are much more common and familiar.

Details of what Tree Following is all about can be found here.  Do have a read and perhaps you’ll decide to join us next year if you’re not already a tree follower.

Traditional Christmas treeAt this time of year it’s the traditional Christmas tree that is familiar to most people but in some places there are rather more unusual ones to be seen.

A different Christmas tree

Happy tree following, and have a good weekend!

  2. Lovely post – very festive!
I wish I could have a miniature version of the sparkly palm…
Thanks to you both for thinking of 2016 already. It would be lovely if you could carry on!
I have also spotted a couple of trees I want to know more about – not sure how I will narrow it down to one!
All the best and Merry Christmas to you both 🙂

    1. Pat, The tree-following has been instructive for me. It has made me pay more attention to trees in general. I’m so glad you are carrying on Lucy’s good work and that Mike has kindly hosted my tree. Merry Christmas to you. Liz

  3. Well, this year, roomie and I have decided not to put the seven trees we normally do and go with ultra simple indoors. Plenty of decorated palm trees around here! I’ll be looking forward to seeing what you and Liz choose for next year.

And thanks again, Flighty, for that beautiful and extravagant gift.

    1. Nikki that sounds good to me won’t the cats wonder where they all are. I’m sure there are.
It’s choosing one to follow that’s the hard part.

You’re most welcome. And I see that Alison, who made it, left a nice comment on your fff post last week. xx

    1. Decisions! Am glad to hear you’re enjoying the trees, Snowbird. Now it’s 2016 and I’ve settled on the serviceberry, a native North American (including Canada and U.S.) tree. Thanks, Liz
