It’s damp and dull this morning but strolling round the allotments it was good to see that the dahlias on a neighbouring plot are still looking okay, although they are now past their best.
The plot holder grows them for exhibiting/showing and sells the rest on Sunday mornings with the money going to charity.
Here are a few more for you to enjoy.
Have a good weekend!

Thanks for sending these pictures of impressive dahlias. I am enjoying them with my morning cuppa!
Liz you’re welcome. I’m glad that you enjoyed them, and your cup of tea. xx
They’re fabulous and how very enterprising selling the flowers which aren’t needed. I bet they’ll raise a good amount for charity.
Jo they sure are, and it’s a good idea. Yes certainly they do. xx
Wow, fabulous dahlias. Someone on our site does something similar. Glad you got down to the plot again, I hope you’re well on the mend. CJ xx
CJ I agree. Good for them. Me too, and yes I seem to be well mended thanks. xx
Awesome. Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed evening.
Linda you’re welcome. Thanks, you too. xx
They’re not a flower that I grow but they’re so beautiful that I really need to remedy that. Good plan to get out to the plot this morning, it’s turned rather wet over here in North London. I was able to get to the garden to pick some veg for tonight’s supper and was surprised to see my climbing beans still producing some nice looking pods! At this stage, I’d just be glad of some large dried pods so that I could save seed for next year! Have a good weekend, let’s hope for some dry patches! Cx
Caro nor me, except two or three some years. Good to see that you also made the most of the dry, if dull, weather yesterday morning. Thanks you too, it looks like being wet tomorrow but dry on Sunday. xx
Wonderful collections. And so many different types too. Thank you for sharing the last of the flowers with us, Flighty.
Paula he certainly grows lots of varieties in various colours. You’re welcome. xx
What lovely dahlias and for such a good cause too!xxx
Snowbird I agree. xx
Such beautiful colours!! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Doris they’re especially good to see at this time of year. You’re welcome. xx
Oh, how nice to borrow beauties from your neighbors to share with us! Gorgeous colors — my favorites are the ones with sunset-like shadings.
Nikki I’m happy to share them and glad that you like them. xx
Your photos are so spectacular. Dahlias are one of my personal favorites in the garden, just when things seem to be failing they burst out with such gorgeous color.
Charlie that’s kind of you to say. I can see why you like them and they’re so popular. Cheers.
What a lovely sight to have next to your plot.
Matt it sure is. Cheers.
Lovely to see a garden full of dahlias – mine have been rubbish this year 😦
Elaine it sure is, and my few were as well sadly. xx
Sitting here on a very wet Saturday morning – it has certainly brightened my day to see these very nice dahlia’s, and how lovely to help out a charity too.
Enjoy your weekend. All the best Jan.
Jan hello it’s nice to know these brightened up your day.
Thanks, and you too. xx
