That’s about it

Fox Junior under the rose bushOver the past week or so it has got considerably colder, being either damp or frosty and often windy, so all I’ve been doing is taking a quick wander round the plot, checking that there’s water in the ponds and saying hello to Fox Junior.

In the sunshine on Christmas Day it was good to see a robin perched on the blackberry bush. I also caught a glimpse of a green woodpecker flying across the site at little more than head height.

I’d like to thank everyone who stops by here, and especially to those of you who comment, it’s always much appreciated.

That’s about it for this year except to say Happy New Year, Β and I hope that we all have a good growing season in 2015 ~ Flighty xx

Thank you for visiting my blogs and leaving comments – much appreciated. Here’s hoping we have a successful year in the garden in 2015. Happy new year.

  3. Too late for me to wish you a happy Christmas but I do wish you now a wonderful 2015 – full of interest. Perhaps one should wish one’s blogging friends ‘good crops’.

It’s good to hear that you’ve been getting down to the plot, it’s always nice to have a wander round even if the weather isn’t good enough to get anything done. Wishing you all the very best for 2015, hope it’s a good year for us all.

Lovely that you managed a Christmas Day visit to the plot. I glimpsed a green woodpecker at our site two or three weeks ago as well, he flew off just as I arrived. It’s frosty here tonight, between leaving the seaside at 4.30pm and arriving home half an hour later there were white sparkles everywhere, and now it’s all really crispy. Wishing you a happy New Year as well Flighty, and of course an excellent growing season. CJ xx

Happy happy new year to you, Flighty, and a peaceful, productive, and love-filled new year. It has gotten colder here, too, though probably pretty mild by your standards. Mornings in the 50s mean roomie and I are having leisurely breakfasts instead of rushing out to prune and tidy. Neither of us want to risk a cold!
Hope you have more happy sightings in your wanderings.

Nikki many thanks that sounds good to me. Yes that sounds positively balmy as it’s mid-day here and there’s still frost on the cars and rooftops.
I hope that I do too. xx

  7. I’m so glad I discovered your blog. I’ve enjoyed your posts and hope to read a lot more of them in 2015. The weather has been a bit colder here also; we received 2 inches of snow yesterday — I guess we got our white Christmas a few days late! Once the new year is here spring can’t be too far behind! Wishing you well in the coming year…

    • Flighty says:

Anna thanks that’s nice to know on both counts. No snow here in London, thankfully, just cold and frosty. I’m sure that spring will be here before we know it. Many thanks, and to you too. xx

It looks like Fox Jr. is on guard duty on Plot 124, keeping his eyes peeled. You plot is in good hands πŸ™‚ It sounds like your plot has been well-winterized due to your steady administrations, and is in good shape, ready for regeneration during the next few months. Wishing you a very Happy New Year, Flighty ~ and I look forward to reading new posts!
