One last look

This morning it’s calm, frosty and sunny so I took one last look round the plot for this year as I doubt if I’ll be there again until next year as the forecast for the next couple of days is yet more rain and wind.

Here’s the hawthorn tree,

You’re definitely getting more frosts there than we are here, we’ve still only had a handful. Hubby did a bit of tidying up at the plot yesterday while the weather was fine, but I think that will be it for us for this year too.

We had one big frost on boxing day & that’s it, I suppose the wet weather helped though. Lovely & sunny today so a couple of hours spent outside.

Where has the year gone??? We’re ok on the frost front but like you have been battered with wind and rain. Happy New Year Flighty, I hope it’s a good one.xxx

Lovely to see everything sleeping for winter. I need to go and have a look at mine, it’s been so wet I haven’t been for ages.

I love to see the hoar frost on the leaves for the sheer beauty of it. Have a Happy New Year Flighty!

A frosty end of the year for the plot. Makes for pretty pictures, though 🙂 Enjoy your break whilst the rain and wind come. We’re cooling down from a record 84F on Christmas day to a more moderate 75F today. More pruning for me…….

  7. We’ve been to Oxford today, couldn’t believe how icy and frosty it was down there.

Jack Frost has added a fringe of artistry to your plants ~ I particularly like the strawberry leaves etched with frostiness. Hope it wasn’t too slippery ~ nice to see the sunshine.

The plants look suitably frosted to decorate any centrepiece. xx
