Are they your roses? Beautiful! Hello Mr. Greenfingers.
Elaine yes it’s my ‘Pretty Lady’. It starts flowering in early June and stays in bloom for months. Here it is a couple of years back –
Beautiful roses! Watch out for midsummer madness 😉

Looks like a fantastic year for ‘Pretty Lady’!
Nikki it looks like the hard pruning I gave it paid off. Sadly though the blooms aren’t lasting long in the rain and wind. xx
Wind and rain in late spring/early summer doesn’t seem fair! My ‘Peace’ rose needs a hard prune at least twice a year to produce well.
Nikki it sure doesn’t. It’s those, along with relatively cool temperatures and a lack of sunshine, that have made it such a poor gardening year here so far.
I shall bear that in mind! xx
Exquisite. Have I asked you before if you have to spray your roses with fungicides and what you use for fertilizer?
Liz it’s a lovely rose. I generally don’t spray them, and just give them a general liquid feed occasionally. xx
