That’s it for this year…

I walked round the allotments on Sunday morning as I needed some exercise and fresh air having been at home for most of last week. It was beautiful, if cold and icy, with the plot still cloaked in snow and criss-crossed with animal tracks.

Alison recently asked for a picture of the canuck boys and I’m happy to oblige. As you can see they’ve taken refuge in the shed for the winter but will be back out on the plot in the spring.

Don’t forget that the Springwatch Christmas Special is on BBC2 this evening at 6.30pm.

That’s it for this year but rest assured that me and the robin, seen here in the blackberry bush last Sunday, will be back early next year!

Until then…Happy New Year!

Alison would you believe me if I said that the boys are smiling as I told them that you’d asked for a picture of them…!
You can see why robins are our favourite birds over here.
You’re most welcome, and thanks for your kind words.
      Many thanks! xx

What a fab photo of the robin. Happy New Year, Flighty. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts in 2010 and look forward to reading many more in 2011.

I hope Charles and Camilla look as good as the Canuck boys when I find them in the garage. (For those who happen upon this comment and wonder what it means, I received a gift of two frogs on a lily pad a couple of weeks before Prince Charles and The Duchess of Cornwall were wed in 2005, so named them C & C.). They sat on my pond until a storm blew through and damaged them. They are somewhere in my garage and, unlike Flighty, I am not good at spring cleaning!
