Armchair viewing

I’ve been browsing through the Christmas double issue of the Radio Times since I bought it on Tuesday and highlighted what I’ll be watching over the holiday period, including these wildlife programmes.

BBC2 is repeating the excellent three part series Yellowstone next Monday at 7.00pm, Wednesday at 6.35pm and Thursday at 6.30pm.  These are well worth watching and the first programme Winter shows what a really cold and snowy winter is like!

If you’re wondering when the Springwatch Christmas Special is on then you’ll have to wait until Wednesday 29th December when it’s showing on BBC2 at 6.30pm.

That is followed by Polar Bear: Spy of the Ice over on BBC1 at 8.00pm, which promises to be a fascinating look at these magnificent animals.

Take care, stay warm and have a good weekend!

I watched Yellowstone last time it was shown. It’s a fantastic programme, well worth watching.

Thanks for bringing these shows to my attention – I haven’t looked at my RT yet. Really enjoyed Yellowstone when it was on before and it’s definately worth another viewing.

The Yellowstone programme was great, visited a few NPs when I was in the States but unfortunately not this one. And anything Springwatch related is worth a watch.

Loved Yellowstone, but not going to watch the winter one – got enuff of the stuff outside just now, with more on the way.

However good news Flighty, 5 little goldfinches appeared today and they are back in their hedge. Fingers crossed for the rest.

Hi Flighty – I have been watching some of the weather reports on the snow overseas, and you are certainly getting covered in that white stuff – and what cold temperatures! I hope you are staying snug and warm while you are watching some of the programmes, and no doubt reading a good book or two (with tea and biscuits of course). No snow here, and none expected in the forecast so far, so that will make it easier for those travelling over the holidays.

Glo it snowed here for a few hours yesterday morning leaving several inches of powdery snow, and it’s been very cold as well! I’m mostly sofa flying and only venturing out, on foot, if need be. I’m well stocked up with books, tea and biscuits!
Lucky you as although it looks pretty it has caused the usual chaos here, and looks set to remain with us all week at least. xx

Loved the Butterflies and I would not have seen it, if you had not flagged it up. Ta Flighty.
