If you thought that Thursday’s story about not being able to grow flowers on an allotment was ludicrous then this story is even more ridiculous! I talked about it at the horticultural society hut this morning and the comments ranged from polite disbelief to utter indignation. That was whilst drinking our cups of tea and eating a slice of delicious strawberry flan that Colin, one of the committee members, had made with ones grown on his allotment.
I like most sausages but I’m not at all sure about strawberry and cream ones! I think that I’ll give these a miss and stick to my usual pork ones.
I was going to do a plot post but it’s such nice weather that I’m going to have some lunch, including sausages and strawberries for afters, then take a leisurely stroll through the ecology park, allotments and playing fields.

Wow so much controversy for a rather unassuming hobby!
)
Save me some strawberries Flighty… I had some yesterday but I doubt Sainsburys can match your fine fruits!
Have a lovely day. I’m having a lazy one. I have ironed all my son’s clothes for the holiday and my hubby is having a very relaxing Fathers Day.
I may venture up to the bathroom to give it a clean but I’m not making any promises!
xx

Daffy there sure is, so I think I’ll go back to stamp collecting!
Will do, or rather I’ll pick some more tomorrow as the ones I had here have rather mysteriously disappeared!
Thanks, you too. I hope that you did something more exiting than cleaning the bathroom! xx

Some people need to realise what you grow on an allotment feeds the soul as well as the stomach!
It’s my experience that people who lack the power or control in other areas of their lives, turn into committee monsters or blog trolls!

Uphilldowndale I agree with that completely!
I know what you mean but thankfully the allotment site and horticultural society only have one or two like that.
As for blog trolls I always say ignore them completely and they’ll usually go away. xx
