Flighty’s plot

One hundred and fifty

June 19, 2008 · 21 Comments

With the excellent Wild China ending last Sunday and the fourth of the Springwatch Specials tonight I suppose that it’s inevitable that there is really nothing about wildlife on terrestrial TV next week.

That is apart from Britain’s Lost World which is a new series of three programmes starting tonight on BBC1 at 9.00pm.  The three presenters atempt to uncover the secrets of St Kilda the remote archipeligo off Scotland’s north-west coast.

If you have a yearning to travel the world then how staying at an unusual hotel! I like the look of this one, but there is plenty of choice. Which one would you like to stay at?

Nearer to home and a bit more mundane, or perhaps I should say down to earth, is the Allotment Art site.

Lastly this entry title indicates that it’s the one hundred and fiftyth one on this blog. Goodness me, it’s only three months ago that I did the One hundredth one!

Have a good weekend!

Great blog Flighty. I LOVE the allotment art site. What a great collection of work that guy has. His photo’s are great.
I love the Beagle shaped Dog Bark Park Inn !!! Only in America eh?

The views from that one in Marrakech is amazing! Though the Hobbit-hole one you link to is also quite sweet looking.

Assortedpixels thanks! I’m going to walk round my allotment site one day to take some different photos, and if I ever take up painting it’s the perfect subject.
Good choice, and where else would it be! Cheers!

Nikki as you say great views! I prefer the aircraft to the hobbit-holes at the one I mentioned! There’s also a helicopter somewhere (? USA) which I couldn’t find to link to. xx

NiC thanks. No worries as we’ll be celebrating the plot’s first birthday at the end of the month when I’ll only need one! Cheers!

What a great site- the unusual hotels. The caves looked pretty neat.

Just watching the programme on St Kilda as I’m typing, Flighty. I love those sort of programmes.

A very interesting variety of links :) Enjoyed reading about the history, present and future of St. Kilda and viewing photos. The closest I’ve been is having set foot on the Isle of Iona and Staffa!

Unusual hotels ~ While I’m not sure I’d want to stay here, I think Iglu-Dorf near Zurich is very unique! I think anything with a theme would add some fun and excitement to a trip, as long as it wasn’t going underground or into caves…a bit too confining for me…in fact the igloo might be too. I have stayed in a castle, and I liked that a lot :)

Enjoyed looking at the Allotment Art blog as well…but I’m still checking our aircraft…LOL

Sorry, that should have said…but I’m still checking out aircraft…

Glo thanks! A castle sounds like fun. I’ve not stayed in anything exotic!
Talk about variety with allotments to unusual hotels via St.Kilda and aircraft ! xx

150 is very impressive. I’ve managed 151 in three years…

As for hotels, I want to stay in them all! The Utter Inn where you stay underwater sounds most intriguing and there’s always something wildly romantic about staying in a lighthouse too.

UTP hello and welcome! I certainly enjoy writing posts for my blog. I’m not so sure about it it being healthy but I won’t be stopping for a while yet! Cheers!

Mildew thanks! I dread to think just how many posts I’ve done on all my blogs since I started over three years ago. Mind you I think that it’s what we write rather how many that really counts.
We were looking at the book in the bookshop and staying in a lighthouse was the popular choice! xx

Some days ago I read this entry and I loved visiting the internet site about St Kilda; I was very involved with the island that I forgot to return here and leave my comment.
    Hugs.
