Please tell Frog Newton that I saw my first tiny frog in the undergrowth when I was clearing bluebell foliage from my rockery yesterday. They shouldn’t really be growing here, although the frog is very welcome to stay. x

Mas that’s you, me and lots of others!
I worked in the bookshop today, as usual, but I’ll be plotting in the morning. Cheers!

Louise I will indeed ! xx

    Look! Is that a butterfly?
    .
Please do not tell Frog Newton that I saw one of his friends on the roadside….Squished. Or perhaps he was just snoozing.
(When we saw dead rabbits and things on the road we used to always tell A that it was just sleeping… I think she believed us!)
Hope you have had a good day! The weather has been lovely here. I’ve watched lots of gardening being done! :o) x

These are so darling, Flighty. I love the little conversation that is going on at your Plot.

I may have missed it somewhere, but who writes the verses?

And no, don’t look at the time…I’m awake, it’s the allergies, have affected my lungs more than my sinuses this time round, but I dread to think how I’d be without Clarityn.

    xx

Daffy it could be as I do see them on the plot!
I won’t! It’s sad when we see sights like that along the roadside.
Lovely here and I had a quiet day in the bookshop not surprisingly. Only watching! xx

Nikki they are! You and me both. xx

Liv perhaps I should have made it clear that it’s Glo that does the image and verse. All I do is put them in the entry with a few words and my thanks to her.
I’m not surprised as the air pollution is dreadful when it’s like this ! Take care. xx

Mas ~ Hi WoodPigeon :) It’s lovely to know that Frog Newton brings a smile or two! Thanks so much for letting us know :)

Louise ~ Oh, that’s wonderful! I must go for a walk to the beach tomorrow and see if the bluebells are blooming ~ at bluebell time, there is a patch at the bottom of the steps that lead to the beach. A frog amidst a bluebell patch is a lovely thought :) I’ll keep my eyes open ;)

Hello Daffy ~ I think one of those flying things might be a parakeet as well!
Ah, the good old Banana Split frog trick. Apparently, according to ancient amphibian lore, as a frog is being “squished” it is capable of “squirting” out of its skin, leaping to safety. They don’t all croak ;)

Hi Nikki ~ great to know you enjoy Frog Newton and the ‘goings on’ at Plot 124. :) Stay tuned!

Liv ~ Sorry to hear you are suffering! I hope Frog Newton cheered you up a bit.

Flighty ~ While I’m commenting, I can hear the nightly frog chorus through the open window. It lends a rather appropriate ambience!

Glo many thanks for your much appreciated response to everyone’s comments.
I get all sorts of night chorus but never frogs! xx

Flighty - ah, I wasn’t sure if it was allergies or pollution, but now you mention it, I didn’t sneeze at all so it must be the latter which explains the lungs and throat. I forgot that the day it kicked in I had walked along busy main roads for an hour on my way to the hospital (for the echocardio) - surely not because the radiologist asked me to inhale deeply a few times and hold it…in a hospital…
    xx

Glo - i do miss our nightly chorus in Houston of frogs, crickets, and nighthawks.

Liv air pollution is often overlooked when it’s hot. I think that my sneezing and sore throat is a combination of that and allergies! xx
