there are actually a few programmes worth watching, although only one is new, and listening to.
Natural World on BBC2 Tuesday at 8.00pm is Spectacled Bears - Shadows of the Forest. Stephen Fry narrates the film on this secretive, and elusive, creature that was the model for the much loved Paddington Bear!
Cha0tic kindly emailed me a reminder that BBC Radio 4 is currently broadcasting the excellent series World On the Move: Great Animal Migrations, which charts the progress of animal journeys across the world. It’s on Tuesdays at 11.00am, and repeated on Wednesdays at 9.00pm.
Two TV programmes that I mentioned when they were on last year are starting repeat showings next week. Michael Palin’s New Europe is on BBC2 Tuesday at 7.00pm and Mountain with Griff Rhys Jones is on BBC2 Wednesday at 7.00pm. I enjoyed both of these, especially the latter, and may well try to watch them again.

I can’t believe Paddington Bear is 50 this year, he doesn’t look a day over 5! I may look in to the bear programme, with a plate of marmalade sandwiches, to spot any similarities? x

Now that is a bit better! Thank goodness for some good or better telly!!
World on the move looks to be good. I always get goose bumps when I see of herds of animals, raging forward to gether. (Only on the telly, the only herds of wild animals I see in real life are my two at tea time!)

My hubby is a big fan of Micheal Palin so that will keep him happy! Even if it is a repeat!)

Well it’s par for the course, they hold back the decent television until the weather starts to get nicer! Still, I think I’d prefer this to the weather staying how it was - it was awful! I’m looking forward to getting out in the fresh air this weekend, now it seems to have improved. Hope you have a good weekend too!

Why is it that now that the evenings are getting lighter, and we should really be out in the garden, we are attracted to stay in and watch marvellous programmes!

I will keep an eye open for New Europe, and am sure I saw some on cable last year.
I enjoyed Palin’s Himalaya series. It was so much more enjoyable than Paul Merton in China - Paul was simply the wrong person for the job and should have stayed in Room 101 bantering with guests rather than embarrassing himself at every turn in a foreign country.
Michael is older than Paul, but he’s fitter, more outgoing, more intrepid, and much more open-minded. His comic moments were perfectly timed and he’s very tactful about everything. I admired him after comparison.
