Happy Easter!

March 20, 2008 · 17 Comments

Tomorrow, Good Friday, heralds the traditional start of the gardening year, which is early this year. It also sees the welcome return of Gardeners’ World on BBC2 at 8.30pm.

On Sunday, Easter Day, there is a real wildlife TV treat with My Life with Animals:Simon King on BBC2 at 6.10pm. He looks back over thirty years of making wildlife films and relives some of his most astonishing moments.

Wednesday sees the return of the always excellent wildlife TV series Natural World with Elephant Nomads of the Namib Desert on BBC2 at 8.00pm.

The forecast for the holiday weekend is, typically, not looking very good. If you do venture out to the British countryside then the When to Watch Wildlife site is worth looking at before you go.

Happy Easter!

I do like Simon King, he certainly makes a subject more interesting, I think its his own passion that he adds. :o)

Blue Pixel he certainly appeals to a lot of people, and rightly so. You’re welcome!
Thanks you too! If it’s wet then I’ll be sofa flying with a good book. Cheers!

Yep, I suspect I’m going to be staying in a lot this weekend; probably watching loads of films on FilmFour (recently got access to digital telly you see!) Happy Easter!

    Hi flighty
Have a lovely Easter too! albeit a cold looking one! I think our son mark who is working at a holiday park in northumberland may be able to play snowballs with the guests this weekend! I am working most of easter but will no doubt fit some egg eating in!
    Take care

I like the ‘when to watch wildlife’ site, I have saved that as a favourite. I don’t want to be a sofa flyer this weekend, but it certainly looks that way. I absolutely love Gardeners World, and am always very peeved when it finishes and very excited when it begins, I can’t wait for that one. Anyway, ignore the weather and have a very Happy Easter weekend! x

  • flighty // March 20, 2008 at 6:29 pm

Joan hello, and thanks! It looks like being pretty miserable doesn’t it so perhaps working most of the weekend isn’t such a bad thing. They’re both good excuses for enjoying an Easter egg or two! Take care xx

Louise I think that it’s a really good site so I try to remember to mention it every month. I ‘d really prefer not to be sofa flying either but it’s looks like my book back-log will shorten this weekend!
I shall be watching Gardeners World in a slightly different light now that I’m no longer just an armchair gardener.
I will and thanks. You too! xx
